This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I find fabulous, outrageous, inspiring, or whateverthefuck. IT IS NSFW. Scroll down a bit to check this shit out, or a bit more to read what I have to say about myself.

I wish I could pick people up this way.
this is how i pick everyone up
sappy comic time, sorry. I know.
vancouver people, keep your eyes out for me at VanCAF this coming weekend! I’ll post about it soon with all the details.
I used to always give silly titles to rough drafts. They would read
[Insert Normal Title of Paper]: Roguh Darft
These are papers that only I was ever looking at.
Sometimes my comedy gene runs wild and life just doesn’t work right.
I often do similar things like titling an intellectual journal an “interlecshul jernull”. One time I turned in a paper which I titled “Compelling Title: An Especially Well-Written Essay”. It was with a teacher who had a sense of humor, of course.
A photo of jónsi i took at Splendour in the Grass.
He wasn’t on our schedule of artists to shoot but i saw him wandering around backstage and asked if he’d mind coming in for a photo. As soon as he saw the head dress on our prop table he picked it up and put it on. He said it was like the one he wears on stage.

Open Letter on Appropriation to Sigur Ros frontman Jonsi:
to: contact@jonsi.com
Hello,
I am a fan of Sigur Ros, and I was excited to see that the band and Jonsi both have Tumblr blogs.
While reading the blogs, however, I was dismayed to come across this post: http://iamjonsi.tumblr.com/post/902061804/boudist-a-photo-of-jonsi-i-took-at-splendour-in
Something Tumblr has introduced me to is the work of a number of Native activists and bloggers, who have to spend a lot of time pointing out why people taking pictures like this is problematic. It is inappropriate and offensive for non-Native people, even those who are not white Americans, to wear Native regalia such as headdresses.
Not being Native myself, I can’t speak in depth on this issue, but I encourage you to read these blog posts on the subject:

I was really looking forward to seeing Sigur Ros on tour this summer, but I’m not sure I feel comfortable supporting the band now.
I look forward to hearing back on this issue.
Sincerely,

She has attention, that is for certain.
This is a thing I thoroughly enjoy doing.
There is a lot of push back from women who claim to be feminists but don’t believe race is part of the conversation. I’ve seen impassioned arguments and explanations as to why the two things must be talked about together. It never fails to end with the faux Feminist saying that the person explaining is just trying to hijack the movement. Which means, in the eyes of the faux Feminist, the person speaking is not a woman. I am going to show you, in numbers, in black and white (Literally) why if you believe intersectionality is not something that needs to be addressed, you are wrong.
The following is from a nationwide statistical study done in 2008. It came from this website and more specifically from this file. For the really lazy (and in denial) of you, I’ll even tell you exactly where to look for my numbers: Table 30.
Crimes of Violence
- White Female-30.3
- Black Female-59.0
Rape/Sexual Assault
- White Female-28.9
- Black Female-76.4
Robbery
- White Female-42.3
- Black Female-63.8
Aggravated Assault
- White Female-32.5
- Black Female-56.6
Simple Assault
- White Female-28.5
- Black Female-54.0
Simply put, if you are telling us now, when we are getting almost double the crimes committed against us, that we need to “Wait our turn,” what reason would we have to believe that once you get your justice, you will come back for us?
Now is the time. Helping those at the bottom, by default, will help you. How and why would anyone ever argue against it?
[Edit] The numbers represent that actual crime rate. Not the total number of people affected in any given group.
